• The village houses comprising of two levels have been painstakingly restored incorporating the hundred year old traditional building method of stone and wood, The lower level were originally used as a stable or barn.

    On the upper level, two rooms were restored with local cedar wood maintaining the homes integrity and character.
  • These houses were built many years ago using tools such as axes, sledgehammers and hammers which were applicable for the period.

    The stones sourced locally were broken away from the rockface using sledgehammers and brought back for construction.

    (The weaving of the rocks have been derived from this rock breaking method).

Totally renovated village houses

The village houses comprising of two levels have been painstakingly restored   incorporating the hundred year old traditional building method of stone and wood, The lower level were originally used as a stable or barn. On the upper level, two rooms were restored with local cedar wood maintaining the homes integrity and character.

On the lower entrance level previously housed a stable or barn today comprises of a living area and open kitchen. On the upper level a shower room with toilet, 2 bedrooms have been totally restored. (1 bedroom comprises of a double bed whereas the second bedroom has 2 single beds).

There is kitchen equipment available to cook a basic meal . If you desire, you can cook your own meal or chose to eat in the local reataurant in the village.
